Biography: Gone Phishing? Not Too Late [Metro]

The band’s 2004 split was partially due to lead guitarist Trey Anastasio’s drug problems. Now that he’s sober, Anastasio envisions a long future ahead of them. Says Puterbaugh: “I talked to Trey back in July, and I basically asked him [about the band’s future], and he said, ‘Right now, I would say that Phish has a long future ahead of them, no end in sight.’ But he also emphasized that in this time of sobriety, he just takes it one day at a time.”
